The Cole Porter classics follows stowaway Billy Crocker on his whirlwind endeavour to win the heart of glamorous society heiress, Hope Harcourt, before the ship reaches port. With the hep of his friend Reno Sweeney, and several cases of mistaken identity, Billy rigs a plot to trick Hope's overbearing mother, her wealthy aristocratic fiance and the ship's Captain, so he can be alone with Hope and confess his love. But will it all go according to plan?
Awash with some of Cole Porter's best loved songs including: 'You're the Top', 'Friendship', 'It's De-Lovely' and the title song 'Anything Goes'.
Of course a cruise ship needs crew as well as passengers! If you're interested in helping us in any way behind the scenes or with the technical equipment, please fill out our membership form or contact our membership secretary Anne Lowder on 0118 972 4464.
Gospel Choir Workshop
If you enjoy singing but don't want to get up on the stage, come and join us at another Gospel Choir Workshop on 1st September 2018! It is run by the incredibly talented Jo Sercombe and promises to be a lot of fun. You can sign up now at our Facebook event or read more here.
The Sainsbury Singers are involved in a lot more than just performing shows. Here you can read about our work with local charities, recent events and concerts, free colouring activities and lots more!
One of our members recently volunteered with a charity we have been supporting, New Beginnings. Read her blog about her time there and the amazing work the charity have been doing since opening the disused pub as a homeless drop in centre.
The Sainsbury Singers use every penny of income and fundraising to put on future shows and to keep entertaining the people of Reading. All donations are gratefully received.
You can support the Sainsbury Singers for just £2 a month by becoming a patron. You can read more about our patron scheme here.
If you would like to make a donation, you can visit our fundraising page here.
